Our Mission

We at Grace love, welcome, and invite the community to our church and school. We pray that God will continue to grant us grace as we learn and grow in the good news of Jesus Christ. We will serve God by serving others, and we will provide a Christian education to the diverse people of our community, especially the children of our school.

Welcome

We are glad you are here, and we pray that whether you are visiting this website or joining us in worship, you will encounter the victory of the Triune God, embrace the teaching of Christ, and be strengthened for life by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Worship with us on Sundays at 10:00am

Our Service: Adults and children worship together. The first twenty minutes of service every week is Children’s Church. It consists of songs, a Bible memory verse, and a children’s sermon. During the school year, the children are released to their Sunday school classes at 10:20am, during the summer they stay with their family and service continues with the Service of the Word and Holy Communion. After church, the children and adults meet for fellowship in the Blue Room or in our garden weather permitting.

Holy Communion: Lutheran Christians believe that the Lord Jesus Christ feeds us with his true body and blood “in, with, and under” the bread and wine in the Lord’s Supper. All baptized Christians who commune in their own churches are welcome to receive the sacrament.

Support Christian Education

Grace is proud to be a congregation that supports Christian schools. For more than forty years we have provided the children of our church and community with academic excellence in a caring, Christian environment. Help spread the good news about our school. If you know someone who might benefit from a Christian education, please invite them to visit our school.

Visiting Thursdays: 9:30-11:00am (while school is in session)

New Collection for At-Risk Members

We have established a new fund to provide emergency assistance to church members who are suffering economic hardship during the current health emergency. Disbursements may be made at the discretion of the pastor, in consultation with the executive committee of the church council. You can donate here.

Pipe Organ Project

Our new pipe organ is finally a reality. We thank everyone who has supported the project. For information on the specifications of the instrument, please visit the NYC AGO page. Come listen to the organ on Sunday during our worship service!
